Such is the case at Stallion Mountain Country Club, a master-planned living community in the eastern part of the Las Vegas and Southern Nevada valley. The crown jewel of this community is the Stallion Mountain Country Club golf facility, which opened in the early 1990s under the name Sunrise Country Club. And it was the home of three Las Vegas golf courses. But the former owner of the golf course parceled off the land of two of the golf courses to create the Stallion Mountain Country Club living community bringing in Pulte and Del Webb to make the community become a reality.
About Stallion Mountain Country Club Living Community and Homes
Good news about this area is that after being closed for a short time, the course and facility at Stallion Mountain Country Club is open and being operated by the award-winning OB Sports Golf Management company. There are several quality living options available within the Stallion Mountain Country Club community. Homes from Pulte are available, and Solera is a 55+ Active living community within the neighborhood. Solera was created by Del Webb, the active adult community experts. One note about Stallion Mountain is that home prices are generally lower in this area due to the proximity of two waste management sites that are located nearby. It varies from person to person how the proximity impacts everyday life but home sales have been strong in the area for several years. Homes range from 1,500 square feet to 2,900 square feet. There is also a condominium project available in the area.

Stallion Mountain Country Club Living Amenities
The golf course is semi-private and currently is offering a zero down option to join. Certain homes offer golf course views and are located on the fairways of Stallion Mountain Country Club. A community pool is available at Solera. Overall Stallion Mountain is a guard-gated community. Stallion Mountain is located near schools and shopping. Also nearby are several local casino resorts including the legendary Sam’s Town. Stallion Mountain ranks on the low end of golf community living options in the Las Vegas area but for the price is a solid option.
Note: For those true golf fans reading this, Sunrise Country Club was the site of the second round of 59 in PGA Tour history, shot by Chip Beck during the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational. Amazingly, he didn’t win the tournament.
