Enjoy shopping, dining, entertainment and people-watching for a truly authentic Las Vegas experience.
#2 The Hoover Dam
Stretching the Colorado River and the Black Canyon, which separates Nevada and Arizona, the Hoover Dam has been a National Historic Landmark since 1937 and is positioned approximately 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Used to contain Lake Mead and to provide power to Arizona, Nevada and California, tours of this massive concrete structure are given throughout the day.
#3 Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Located just seventeen miles southwest of Las Vegas, the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area boasts excellent hiking, beautiful parks and lovely gardens. You can opt to follow the 18-mile scenic car route or to spend the afternoon hiking any of the park’s beautiful trails. You’ll find yourself surrounded by the Mojave Desert and its signature red hills.

Visitors will find a replica of the Arc de Triomphe, decorations and ambiance similar to that of the Paris Opera, and a 46-story Eiffel Tower. The view from the observation deck, open from 9:30am to 12:30 am, gives visitors a 360-degree view of America’s finest playground.
#7 The Bellagio Fountains
Praised as the best free show outside the hotels, the Bellagio Fountains dazzle onlookers every half-hour between 3pm and 8pm, and every 15 minutes from then until midnight. #8 The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay boasts rays, sea turtles, crocodiles, sharks and even a Komodo dragon. If you’re staying at Mandalay Bay, you can watch the Shark Reef channel 24 hours a day on your television, but for $16.99, the real thing is quite impressive.
