The trail heads located throughout community serve as a way for its residents to connect with the surrounding desert nature. Anthem East Trailhead lines the McCullough Mountain Range from Anthem Hills Park to the neighborhoods on Shadow Canyon Drive. The first three-fourths of the first mile of the seven mile trail is paved. The rest of the trial is rough and challenging in some parts but surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes.
Black Mountain Trail is around 7 miles long and located just south of the Anthem community footprint on the eastern edge. The trail is a part of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area that reaches the summit of Black Mountain giving views of both Vegas and Arizona.
The 8.1 miles St. Rose Parkway Trail runs on both sides of the eponymous street. The south end ends at the M Resort while the north end connects to the 215 East Beltway Trail, which continues north towards the Strip. Hikers will pass residences, shops, restaurants and hospitals. Hikers on the south end of the trail can take take Burner Avenue to the MGM lion habitat.

Cyclists and motor vehicles are not allowed on unauthorized areas.
Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet and owners are responsible for picking up their pet’s waste.
Stay on the trail to protect the desert and the surrounding animals.
Do not approach wildlife.
Stay in public areas.
Cyclists must yield to hikers.
There are no water or phone services available so be prepared.
Anyone who purposefully damages or vandalizes the parks will be prosecuted.
